Second Grade Math
Travel the U.S., build a robot, and monkey around with Starfall’s 2nd grade Math! Our activities help learners build understanding of and skills using place value. Learners build fluency in addition and subtraction, and encounter foundations for multiplication, including parity, arrays, and writing equations.
Understanding Place Value Show CCSS

Beginning Multiplication Show CCSS
Understanding what multiplication is and how it works may take time since unlike adding and subtracting, it does not come naturally to many children. In this section children:
- Build an understanding of what multiplication is and how it works
- Practice using arrays
- Solve simple multiplication problems using matching games
- Learn multiplication songs
- These activities support multiplication learning and build a foundation for future learning of multiplication tables.
